Katie Starr and her Man Elmo

I am participating in Donna's Family FotoFun Friday Challenge. I just had to join in on this one as it had to do with Katie's number one guy, ELMO!! Every morning at 9:00 am you will see Ms. Starr sitting in her Elmo Chair in front of the TV riveted to Sesame Street. When the Elmo's world segment comes on she begins to clap and dance and yell Mo!! Katie has several Elmos in many shapes and forms and like Donna's Maddie, Katie Starr loves her Pampers so that she can look at "Mo".

Someone near and dear to me who shall remain nameless was watching Katie recently and by accident, while walking the dog, locked herself out of the house while Katie was watching a Elmo's World DVD. This person ran across the street for help and with the help of my neighbors was able to break into the house (Not very comforting news). Throughout the break in Katie never looked away from her beloved Elmo and did not notice that there were 3 adults and 3 kiddos staring at her once they got in...sheeesh...I wish I garnered such adulation.

Too cute! Erin never really got into Elmo. My own personal H$%L was The Wiggles. When these children latch onto something, they hold on for dear life! Erin was 18 months when she told me "I yikum Wigga Momma."

Will Elmo be coming to dinner this month?

By the way, I just read your "Adoption is not for the faint of heart" post and I thought it was so great. so true. I also feel like so many people try and sugar coat it. I find myself doing it too. I don't want anyone to think I am ungrateful or that I don't absolutely love my child. But, yeah! it was difficult (especially at first).
Lily wouldn't even let me touch her while we were in China. I cried A LOT!!!
Thanks for being brave enough to be honest.

Emily has lost her intense infatuation for Elmo but adores the Upside Down guys on Noggin. Carly barely notices there's a TV in the room.
Miss Katie is so sweet in her little chair. :^)

I have always said that Elmo should be an Ambassador for world peace!

Hi Lori, I've enjoyed catching up on your blog. We don't own an Elmo yet...they have one in school and Kylie likes it but has not expressed "interest in taking it home". I really appreciate your post "Adoption is not for the faint of heart". It felt like you were talking to me directly. It has definitely gotten better as time passes by and now I cannot imagine our lives without our princess. Looking forward to meeting you someday:-) Judy
