More complications for Big Al

My dear father in law, Big Al as we affectionately call him, was scheduled for a very tricky open heart surgery tomorrow morning which was just cancelled due to some pre-op testing that came back funky. Now, in addition to this dangerous surgery he is facing a blood transfusion before the surgery. You can read more about it here

This is such a stressful time for all of us and of course most especially for Marc. I will keep you posted as I know more.

Big Al is in our thoughts and prayers, and we hope all goes well. Please give Marc an extra big hug from us.
If there is anything we can do, or if you need to chat, please let me know. I know what it's like to have a very sick parent in the hospital.
Huge hugs to you all!

You know that I will be thinking about Big Al and praying that all goes well for him. This is a very tough time for your family. If I can be of any assistance, please don't hesitate to ask. I can take the kids if needed if you need to go to the hospital. You know I'm there for you.

Lori & Marc,

I am so sorry to hear about Big al's latest setback. I will be keeping everything crossed that all works out well for him in the coming days. With everything you have going on right now,i don't know how you keep smiling, but you do. You are incredible woman and deserve a break. Please send Big Al and Marc all our love and support.

Also give those cute kiddos a big hugs from us too. Those preschool germs are a tough bunch to get rid of. I hope this passes soon. who needs unwanted guests this time of year?

Miss you!

Heart surgery is so so scary! My mom had open bypass, and then had a tear in her arota which they couldn't fix. In fact - because of my mom's heart issues and all the research I did on it I felt comfortable adopting a waiting child with heart problems! She also had heart valve replacement and because she only has one kidney also went on dialysis (which brought back some of her spunk becuase it ticked her off so bad!) Hmmm - seems that my mom and your FIL have a lot in common. email me if you need to talk at all.

You and your family are in my prayers.

Hugs,
Carla
