Eating a doctor a day keeps the apples away...

It made perfect sense to Katie when she said it but of course the parental units could not hold back the laughter at that statement. All I have to say is thank goodness for the humor of raising children because man oh man, raising two "virtual twin" three year old's is hard work. It is gratifying and rewarding work but it is exhausting if you put your heart and soul into it like we do. Heck, it is probably hard even if you do not put your heart and soul into it (smirk)

I hope all those that are waiting for their precious children do not feel that I am being ungrateful by expressing how parenting can be grueling. I think many of you know by now that I am one to speak the truth. Isn't it better to feel that we are all in the same parenting boat and bailing the water out as fast as we can so that we do not sink amidst the tremendous work load that we all carry? You can love your children more than life itself and wish for a some carefree and child free moments like I do right now.

Marc is working tonight and after reading to the kids, playing outside with them, playing inside with them, refereeing their squabbles, meeting all of their needs, I told them that they could choose a DVD before bed. After it was over and we were cleaning up the family room before bed, I see Ethan looking behind a chair in the room for something. I asked him what is behind there and he reaches back to pull out oodles and oodles of stuffing from the couch cushions that he has removed...ugh! Thanks mischief man, appreciate that!!

OK, back to the cuteness that brings focus to this overworked and tired mama. Thank goodness that I get the compensation of smiles and laughter that ease my weary mind and soul. Here is some more of it for your viewing pleasure.

Goodnight for now because morning comes VERY early around these parts and it all begins again.

Yep...its hard enough dealing with one. Its when you're outnumbered that I understand is incomprehensibly worse, i.e. one parent/2 kids or 2 parents/3 or more kids. For a whole host of reasons, I'm sticking with one child. The thought of 2, especially ones as active as yours and mine, is just plain scary.

Wishing you blessedly peaceful sleeps,

Carol and T

Grueling? Yup. But as you also said totally rewarding.

So Ethan has the shopping gene? How did that happen!?

Love the video clips you share!

Ahhh, she is amazing! Cute cameo by E, too.

As a waiting parent, I can tell you I really appreciate your honesty. I know I will feel that way too, and thanks to you now I will know I am normal!
