This was just plain wrong!

Tonight, Shannon, Alan and Mia were over for a visit. After dinner, we hung out talking and laughing while the kiddos played. We then gave the children a snack and Shannon and I coerced...er I mean asked our husbands nicely to go out and get us ice cream from Dairy Queen. They came back and we all sat (minus Marc who was not hungry for ice cream......whatever!) and started to eat our ice cream. Mia sauntered over and asked us for some ice cream. Shannon spontaneously busts out with the fact we were eating Broccoli. Wow, Shannon...that was quick thinking!! Mia looking disgusted, walks off and leaves us alone...bwahahaha! Then the mischief man walks over 5 minutes later and asks for ice cream from me. I tell him that I am eating Broccoli. He then looks to Shannon longingly who tells him that she is eating an onion salad (onion salad...huh??) and then his last chance was Alan who says he is eating Spinach. Ethan walks away looking gloomy and we could hardly contain our laughter at the whole ridiculous scene. This really was wrong on every level but hey you gotta do what you gotta do when you want to eat your treat all by yourself.

Of course, Ethan had the last laugh when he came back and told us that he would like some of our Broccoli!! Foiled again!

Well...actaully we were not really foiled as we had already finished our "Broccoli." hehehe!

Ha!!! Love it. You guys just crack me up. I'll try that at our house. We get busted all the dang time. Little Ree runs up every single time we're sneaking something good and says "What in yo mouf mama?!!"

That is hilarious! What I loved is that one adult deceives these poor little tykes and the rest of them swear to it immediately! Hee, hee! Like M3, we have tried to sneak stuff like that, but unless we get it to our room and lock the door, the kids always find us.

My now 19 year old nephew was about 4 when he stayed at our house for the weekend. Rick came home and wrapped a magazine around a Butterfinger candy bag because he didn't want Christopher to see it. Well, he did and he said, "What's that?"

R: "A magazine"
C; "No, that"
R: "What do you think it is?"
C: "Candy?"
R: "No, it just your imagination."
C: "Can I have some of your imagination?"

Man, if we only had a video running 24/7, we'd capture this stuff on video and submit it to America's Funniest Videos and win some money!

So sneaky! I'm going to have to try this too! My kids have been known to actually attempt to pry open my mouth and pull the food out of it!

Too funny!! I actually tried telling Kylie one day that what I was eating was really yucky. She started laughing and said "nooooo it's yummy, I want some" I had to share a delicious chocolate bar because she was too cute for words and did not buy my story not one little bit. I thought I was pretty convincing but apparently not. I can just picture you guys having alot of fun with it. I'm enjoying Singapore but I still wish I was there! I've been a bit homesick:-(
