Taking a break

I have not fallen off the face of the earth...just off the face of the blogisphere. Things are just waaaay to busy and to be honest too difficult to blog right now.

Last week we (my dad and I) closed our family business, a once thriving real estate business on the beach here in South Florida that has drawn it's last breath. We are now in the throes of finalizing things, packing it all up and moving out. This is truly heartbreaking for our family but as many of you know I am all about looking forward and so that is what I will do once again.

My father in law is back in the hospital again. Hopefully, he will be back home again tomorrow.

On a funny note, Ethan's refrain lately has been that we are "boring!" He may be right. I do not feel like very much fun right now. I promise to be back when I can feel the joy in blogging again and definitely when I am not as "boring". I hope that will be very soon.

I'm so sorry you had to close your business. I know that was hard for you and your dad. You both worked so hard to build your business. I will be praying for your father-in-law. I know I am frustrated with the media and the constant bad news that has this great nation gripped in fear and made this whole mess much worse than it would have been. They have been banging this recession drum since 2001 when 9/11 happened. We will get through this and I am convinced that this is the best time to start being creative and innovative. Hoping to see you back really soon.

And huge hugs to you and your Dad as you close this chapter (and business) and start a new one. I wish I was closer so I could help or at least be there for you guys.

I am sorry about your business..I pray this economy turns around but I am just not seeing it happening anytime soon. My husband lost his job a month ago and it just SUCKS!!
I hope your FIL is doing better. are one of the BUSIEST families I "know"..I think Ethan has decided Katie is not the only one who gets to say FUNNY things:)

That Ethan is one smart cookie...I suspect that we both are craving a little more "boring" in our lives these days.

Wishing you peace in these stressful times...
