Katie finally got to see an elephant!!

This was our goal today and yes, it was attained. She has been dying to see an elephant and we have not see one at the zoos that we have been to thus far so off we went with the dynamic duo and grandma to Lion Country Safari. This is a drive through cageless zoo with a fun area for kids and adults alike attached to it. We rode all of the rides with them including a ferris wheel, they got to feed petting zoo animals and even giraffes and then wound the day up playing in the playing in the water feature.

The following is the video and some photos from the day. There was not any good elephant footage as Katie was pretty quiet while she looked at them and they were pretty far away.

I know I have posted quite a bit but our family loves to see what the kiddos are up to so please bear with me.

P.S. Have to relay that when one of the animals spit Katie piped up with the comment "that animal spit out like Ethan does" LOL!! She was talking about him spitting out his food when he does not like it...out of the mouths of babes!!

Personally, I don't think you could post enough pics & videos of the children. I love to see them, & Erin will ask me to play them over & over again.

It sure looks like a fun day was had by all. This looks like a great place to visit. (Maybe after seeing the videos, Erin will be able to brave it.)

I"m betting that Katie Starr was in total awe of the elephants. I can only imagine the look of total amazement on her face upon seeing them close up.
